The Hanover Company, a Houston based nationwide developer, is dedicated to enhancing the residential experience with superior value. Their plan is to develop a 14-acre mixed-use development that will serve as a retail destination on the edge of Buffalo Bayou Park.

As part of this commitment, RediStair® was chosen for egress stairwell installation in the 40-story Buffalo Bayou Mixed-Use Apartment building in Houston, Texas.

RediStair® offers numerous benefits over cast-in-place (CIP) or pan-filled stairs. Manufactured under controlled conditions and pre-cured before transportation, RediStair® excels in efficiency, durability, and consistency. In addition, RediStair® significantly reduces the time and cost of on-site labor and materials.

Juan Carlos Garcia, the site Concrete Superintendent with ORION (formerly TAS Construction), observed that RediStair® was notably quicker and more convenient compared to CIP. Garcia estimated for each flight (comprising of two (2) stair stringers and one (1) mid-landing between floors), his team installed RediStair® with fewer personnel and 43% fewer man-hours compared to a CIP installation.

The project is estimated to be open to the public in 2025.
