Webcor Concrete utilized RediStair® on the $624 million San Benito Student Housing project at the University of California–Santa Barbara. The large-scale development will add 2,250 beds to the campus and is currently under construction. To help maintain an accelerated schedule within a highly congested, active obsite, the project team is utilizing the RediStair® system to provide safe, code-compliant temporary access, reducing the need for traditional temporary stair towers and improving site efficiency.

GC Solutions is supplying more than 175 custom-built RediStair® stringers for the project. Each stringer is protected with plant-installed Skudo Stair Guard to minimize wear during construction, helping ensure a higher-quality finished product at turnover.

The integration of RediStair® and pre-installed protection supports a streamlined installation process, reduces on-site coordination challenges, and enhances overall jobsite safety. By delivering prefabricated, ready-to-install components, GC Solutions is helping the project team maintain momentum while safeguarding long-term stair system performance.

Construction began in April 2024 and is scheduled for completion in August 2027.
